Look, I'm not saying no one should shop at the big online book sellers. I buy books from them, too. But one of the best ways you can support your favorite indie author is to buy directly from their websites when possible. Not every author has a direct sales site, but a bunch of them do--and more and more are building them as we speak, because the big book sellers (especially the one that starts with an "A") aren't known for being kind or fair to authors.
