I don't review half as much as I used to. My reasons for that are vast and mysterious (not really...I explained it all right HERE, but "vast and mysterious just sounds better), but that doesn't mean I haven't been reading just as much as I always have. So, that said, here are some great reads I discovered lately that you might want to consider checking out, too:
Last week on Twitter, someone asked for "filthy" romance recs. Some of the recs there were amazing. Others were what I would consider tame at best (cough*Colleen Hoover*cough) and not even romance novels at worst (i.e.: The Fault in Our Stars, Nicholas Sparks, etc.). So, with that in mind, I thought I'd put together a list of the spiciest romance I've read. These are reads that I would consider a 5 chilli pepper rating on my rating scale, which can be found HERE. Grab a glass of ice water and get ready for these SUPER spicy romances:
Overall, I find TV to be a huge disappointment these days. There's so many reboots and shows that get cancelled before they even have a chance to shine that I prefer to read a book rather than turn on the TV 98% of the time. But sometimes, when my brain gets tired, it's good to grab that remote and dig into a bingeable series. And lately, I've found a few good ones that aren't technically romances, but they have some surprise romantic elements that I think all you romance novels will adore. For lack of a better term, I call these horny tv shows. But the horny levels are completely unexpected, which makes them all the better. So, without further ado, here are the awesome horny, non-romance tv shows that I think all romance readers should check out:
As an only child, I have no idea what it would be like to have a brother who had hot friends for me to crush on. But it's popped up in enough romance novels to make me wish I did! Anyhoo, for fans of this particular trope, here are some brother's best friend romances that are primed and ready for #FridayReads. Enjoy:
This book served as a harsh reminder that I've aged out of new adult romance and probably shouldn't read it anymore.
This is one of my all-time favorite romance tropes. When a hero is ready to burn the world down to save his love, that book has my FULL attention. Here are just a few of my favorites:
With the state of the world right now (*gestures wildly to everything*), lately I've found a little comfort in paranormal and sci fi reads. There's just something about slipping into an alternate reality where anything is possible to make the current reality a little more tolerable. So, I wanted to put together a list of great paranormal and sci fi romance, but thought, what would make the list even more interesting to folks? And of course, I immediately answered my own dumb question with FREE BOOKS! With that in mind, here are some paranormal and sci fi reads that are absolutely FREE right now, and I highly recommend loading up your ereaders. Happy reading, y'all:
