 With COVID-19 out there (and a bunch of crazy people hoarding toilet paper and hand sanitizer), it’s made us put some thought into our picks for the best book boyfriends we wouldn’t mind being quarantined with (you know...as one does). So, here are some of our all-time favorite book boyfriends who’d be GREAT company (for a variety of reasons, not just the dirty ones. Ahem) in the stay-home apocalypse.

Ever wonder what your favorite authors are reading? Me, too. So, I did a little BookBub stalking and checked out their recommendations. Here’s what I found: 
Television and movie writers can learn a lot from romance novels. It’s a topic we’ve covered before. But there are quite a few specific characters on television and in movies that were SEVERELY let down by their writers, and I’m a firm believer that it wouldn’t have happened if we’d left a really great romance writer in charge of their character arcs. So, with that in mind, here are my picks for the top characters who got shafted by their writers, and the romance authors who would’ve done right by them.
 Reads where the stakes are literally life and death and the main villain is Mother freakin’ Nature? Yes, please!! So without further ado, here are our picks (and our readers’ picks) for the most awesome “we survived Mother Nature and fell in love while we did it” romance reads. Enjoy!
Strong female characters have gotten a bad reputation over the past few years. It seems that very few people know how to create them without falling into bad stereotypes and misogyny. I have, however, seen LOTS of really well-written strong women in romance novels, and I think the world at large can learn plenty from them. So, here it goes…
 Contrary to popular opinion in Hollywood, men and women who have done horrible, horrible things in their pasts can be redeemed and don’t have to die in order to earn that redemption. (Yes, I’m looking at you, JJ Abrams) And to prove it can be done, here are some romance authors who pulled it off beautifully. Seriously...these are some great reads featuring troubled men and women who redeemed themselves and earned their happily ever afters. Happy reading!
I’m going to admit to a dirty little secret. I have author friends who spy for me in a bunch of author groups on social media. Nothing nefarious, of course. They just keep me posted on current events and give me a heads-up on stuff that’s bothering authors from one day to the next. And recently, one of my favorite spies told me that there was a particularly heated debate in one group about trigger warnings and disclaimers in romance novel blurbs. The authors overwhelmingly disliked trigger warnings and disclaimers and felt like they were “spoilers.”
 OK, so we’ve talked about contemporary, rom com, and paranormal romance series you should binge read immediately. Now it’s time to give romantic suspense the same treatment. Get ready to 1-click, folks. There’s some great stuff here…
