My to-be-read list is out of control, y’all. Totally, completely, out of control. So, since I tend to review just about everything I read for the site, I thought I should check and see what YOU wanted to see me review. So, here’s the top choices on my TBR list right now. If you want to vote for the book you most want to see reviewed on the site, it’d be a win-win for both of us. Please and thanks.
Age gap romance is a pretty divisive trope in Romancelandia. For me, it all depends on the author. A great author can create age gap romance that I adore. In the hands of the wrong author...well, it can all fall to crap pretty quickly. But, the good news is that I know PLENTY of great age gap romances that are handled beautifully (in my not-so-humble opinion). So, without further ado, get ready to 1-click!

When I was a Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan, I was exceedingly pissed off when the writers decided Willow was just going to wake up one morning and presto! She was gay. I had a real problem with them changing the character mid-stream. But I had a personal bias. I loved Willow and Oz together. So, did it aggravate me because I preferred the relationship she was in, or because I felt the writing had taken a turn that wasn’t true to the character? I’m going to go ahead and part with a nasty little secret. I’m so, so, SO tired of billionaire romance heroes. Where are all the hot guys with regular jobs in Romancelandia? Well, here’s some of them. We just need MORE LIKE THESE. These blue-collar romance heroes are hotter than any 10 billionaires. Enjoy!
We’re living in strange, scary times. Now more than ever, we need great books to comfort us. And while we’ve made our likes and dislikes super clear over the years, we never really gave our readers a voice until now. We asked our loyal friends on Facebook what they wanted to see more—and less—of in their romance novels this year. Their answers might surprise you. (Authors, take note!)
Are you sick of toothpick-sized heroines in romance novels? Looking for some realism instead? If that’s the case, you’ll love these BBW (Big Beautiful Woman) heroines. Enjoy!
Writing romance is hard. But for some reason, TV and movie screenwriters seem to think it’s a piece of cake. It’s that overconfidence that makes them screw up so many great ‘ships. Here are some prime examples of writers who should’ve had romance authors in the room before they completely wrecked their characters’ love lives for good.
Who doesn’t love a good fairy tale retelling? Here are some awesome choices to fill up your Kindle and brighten your weekend. You’re welcome!
