Covers that kick the crap out of the romance stigma (And the books beneath them are pretty freakin’ awesome, too.)
 
One of the things that critics of the romance genre love to sneer at are book covers that feature a classic couples-in-a-sexy-clinch photo, or hot, half-naked dudes (often headless) with eight-pack abs. Now personally, we don’t mind a clinch photo, and we LOVE hot, half-naked ab dudes. (Abs. I mean, what’s not to love,right? Heck, we even devoted an entire list not too long ago to our favorite hot cover dudes.) But we also appreciate the hell out of authors who crush the romance stigma not only in their books, but also with their unconventional, beautiful, and arty covers.
