The world is a trash fire right now. My coping mechanism is reading romance novels. But not just ANY romance novels. I'm talking about light, fluffy, low-angst, hilarious romance novels I can escape into and forget about *gestures wildly to EVERYTHING*. So, without further ado, here are some awesome, light romance novels you can escape into: Neighbors With Benefits by Isabel JordanFinn and Ridley fall in love while playing pranks on their tyrannical Home Owners' Association. It's snort-laugh funny, spicy, and loaded with witty banter. Perfect escapism on all levels. That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon by Kimberly LemmingI don't even read fantasy romance and I ADORED this one. It's light and hysterical and irreverent and everything you could ever want when you're looking to escape reality. And the sequel, That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf is up for pre-order, and I cannot WAIT to dive into this author's world once again. Tangled by Emma ChaseI dare you to read chapter one of this book and not become completely obsessed with Drew. Go one. I double DOG dare you!!! Dear Enemy by Kristen CallihanThis one is a perfect blend of aww-inducing emotional moments and pining, laughs, and super-hot sexy times. It's a damn-near flawless read and I can't recommend it highly enough. By a Thread by Lucy ScoreThere's a reason why this woman dominates the Amazon top 100 in the romantic comedy category. Check her out and you'll see. Enemies with Benefits by Roxie NoirThis is a great series from start to finish. But every book can be read as a standalone, so...do with that info what you will. And this book is free, by the way... Stud in the Stacks by Pippa GrantSuper hot romance hero who reads romance novels and recommends them for a living? Hell yeah! A Very Bossy Christmas by Kayley LoringDon't let the fact that this book has "Christmas" in the title stop you from reading it in May. It's hot, it's hilarious, and the hero is EVERYTHING. If you haven't read this one, download today because you don't have any idea what you're missing. How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf by Molly HarperSo. Many. Laughs. Seriously. Caped and Dangerous by Isabel JordanA grumpy, snarky, 46-year-old female superhero who falls for a man who may or may not be a super villian? Oh, yeah...sign me up. This one is pure sunshine and joy all the way through. Even if you're not normally a superhero romance fan, you'll still like this one. Trust me. But those are just my picks. What about you? Anything you'd like to add? Let's discuss!
