My favorite dangerous heroines in romance novels

A while back, I did a book recommendations list for romance novels where the heroes had strong "touch her and die" vibes.  Well, heroes aren't the only ones who can get feral in defense of their loved ones. There are plenty of dangerous women in romance novels, too. Here are some of my faves:

Lana from The Mindfuck Series by ST Abby

Lana is a highly trained, super intelligent, remorseless revenge machine--and the men she's going after get EVERYTHING they deserve. (And trust me, they REALLY deserve it.)

Greer from Caped and Dangerous by Isabel Jordan

Greer is a flying superhero who can bench press a city bus, and she does not hesitate to kick ass  (literally) when her loved ones are in danger. (Plus, she's 46 years old and falls in love with a cocky billionaire who might be a supervillain and is 10 years younger than her. It's DELICIOUS.)

Holly in Seduction Game by Pamela Clare

Bad guys might be tempted to underestimate Holly based on her looks. That would be a VERY big mistake on their part, because she not only kicks ass, but also manages to outmaneuver everyone in every situation.

Ebony in Redemption by Kenya Wright

This is a strong, smart heroine who is willing to go to some pretty wild lengths to protect her family, and her journey in Redemption is absolutely incredible. You'll have to read it to believe it. Just trust me. :0

Harper in the Harper Hall Investigations series by Isabel Jordan

Harper is human. That doesn't stop her from commanding an army of supernatural heroes. She also never hesitates to kick ass when needed (which is a lot in this series), and chime in with hilarious snark whenever possible. I recommend this series to fans of Sookie Stackhouse, Darynda Jones (Charley Davidson series) and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. (Again...trust me)

Keira in A Vampire's Vengeance by LE Wilson

Keira is a witch so powerful she can control an ancient alpha vampire and keep him imprisoned for years. She didn't mean to fall for the guy. But...ooops...

Gin in the Elemental Assassin series by Jennifer Estep

I mean...the title of the series kinda says it all, don't you think?

Alayna in Air of Darkness by Rose O'Brien

Superpowers AND she leads of team of heroes/heroines who also have super powers. She's awesome. That is all.

Other dangerous heroines who are on EVERY other book list

There are certain names who ALWAYS come up in lists like this one. Kat from Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series, Kate from the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews, Mercy from the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs, Eve from the In Death series by JR Robb, Jane from the Jane Yellowrock series by Faith Hunter,  Elena in the Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh, all the Sarah J. Mass stuff...I could go on. I don't deny these are awesome heroines who belong on the list. But since they're on EVERY OTHER LIST ALL THE TIME, I'm only briefly mentioning them here. No disrespect intended.

But those are just my faves. What are yours? Let's discuss in the comments.
