Haleigh spent the better part of the book insisting that she wasn’t good enough for Cooper, and it didn’t long before I agreed with her. The constant whining and her pathetic need to please her Mommy Dearest of a mother made me want her dead by chapter five. And when she pretended she wasn’t with Cooper just so her mother wouldn’t find out she’d been screwing a lowly mechanic? I almost threw my Kindle against the wall. And I LOVE my Kindle, people. It’s like one of my kids. So, the fact that I was ready to hurl it at a wall should tell you how much I HATED Haleigh as a character.
Will this stop me from reading future books in the series? No. Like I said, I love the author, and usually, I love her characters. This one just wasn’t for me. I’m assuming it’s a fluke.
And with that, I raise my middle fingers high and say, suck it, Haleigh!!
