The kids over on TikTok are doing this thing where they list books they'll accept no criticism on, and I thought I'd bandwagon. Now, I'm not saying everyone isn't entitled to their own opinions. You totally are. It's perfectly fine for you to dislike any of the books I'm about to list. But if you do, just know that I'm not going to listen. Like, at all. Because to me, these books are perfect, just as they are: Night Hawk by Beverly JenkinsThis was my first Beverly Jenkins read, and it insured that I'll read everything this woman writes until the end of the time. Preacher is EVERYTHING. Rush by Emma ScottThis is the only book I've ever read that made me cry both happy and sad tears. It'll rip you apart, then put you back together again. Can't recommend highly enough. Caped and Dangerous by Isabel JordanA romance about a middle-aged female superhero and the possibly-a-villain love of her life? Um, yes, please! It's funny, the witty banter is TO DIE FOR, and there are plenty of surprisingly sweet moments that'll melt your heart. Even if you have Marvel fatigue, you'll love Greer and Killian. Trust me on this. That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon by Kimberly LemmingHigh fantasy romances aren't for me. There. I've said it. But this one is everything I never knew I needed. It's hilarious, the world building is great but not so detailed that I need to take notes to follow along, the hero is alpha but not an alpha hole, and the heroine kicks ass (like, literally). If you haven't read this one...well, I feel sorry for you. Texas Destiny by Lorraine HeathI'm begging Hollywood--begging!!--to please, please, PLEASE adapt this series into a big movie or miniseries. And don't scrimp on budget! Call in the best team and throw money at it to do it right. This series (and this author) DESERVE it, as do all the fans. Please and thank you. Lick by Kylie ScottThis was the first rockstar romance I ever read, and to this day, it remains one of my all-time favorites. The characters, the banter, the plot...it's sublime. I've probably read it a dozen times. The Mogul and the Muscle by Claire KingsleyThis was the first female billionaire romance I've ever read. Why is that??? Why isn't this trope more popular? Because I have to say, this is one of my favorite rom coms of all time. Jude the bodyguard is the PERFECT book boyfriend, and successful female business women RULE! Unlawful Contact by Pamela ClareThis whole series is the bar by which I judge all other romantic suspense series, but this book in particular is my favorite. The characters, the spicy scenes, the second chance romance, the "on the run" trope (which is one of my faves)...sigh. It's all so good. The Wrong Heart by Jennifer HartmannIt'll destroy...but you won't regret a second of it. Disgrace by Brittainy CherryArguably the best good girl/bad boy small town romance ever penned. I said what I said. The Bad Guy by Celia AaronDon't even come at me with this one. Yes, he kidnapped the heroine. Yes, he stalked her. And STILL, he treats her better than the man she's dating. By, like, A LOT. Camille is no damsel in distress. This book had a chokehold on me, and I will not listen to any pearl clutchers say anything bad about my Sebastian. The end. The One You Fight For by Roni LorenI frankly don't understand why this book isn't on every best of list ever written. Maybe the backdrop of the school shooting is too gruesome for readers to handle? I dunno. What I DO know is that this series, this book in particular, is heartfelt, sexy, and so well written you'll feel like you're watching your friends, people you've known for years, fall in love. The series is brilliant. But those are just a few of my faves. What about you? Let's discuss!

I absolutely loved Pamela Clare's ITeam series, re-read them all earlier this year:) Also loved Roni Loren series, they were so very emotional, tear jerker stories.

Pamela Clare's "Ride The Fire" is my #2 fave book (after "Gone With The Wind")...It's set in 1760, during the French & Indian War, just before the Revolution...Nicholas Kenleigh is taken by the Wyandotte Indians, enduring unimaginable torture which leaves him badly wounded & scarred in body & spirit...After escaping, he finds his way to the cabin of a beautiful, pregnant widow named Elspeth (Bethie) Stewart, who is also damaged emotionally by the physical & psychological abuse of her cruel stepfather & stepbrother, leaving her afraid of men and of sex...She then is given to a man much older than her, who takes her Weat to the Ohio wilderness, where he dies, leaving her alone to face the dangers of life in the wilderness...
