I've said it in many reviews before. Stalkers aren't sexy. I'm not saying they aren't ever fuckable (cough*Joe from You*cough), but generally, in romance novels, I have a no-stalker policy when it comes to heroes. HOWEVER...there have been exceptions over the course of my reading career. I call them my "sweet" stalkers. They were stalkers who still managed to capture MY heart while they were capturing the heroines' hearts. So, if you ever found yourself watching You and thinking, man, I'd really like this guy...if only he wasn't so crazy, obsessed, and murder-y, then THIS is the list for you: NOTE: Yes, I'm aware that stalking isn't healthy. Yes, I'm also aware that the books I'm listing don't always depict healthy relationships (especially in the beginning). But we're talking about fiction, and no one reads fiction for the realism. Maybe some folks have fantasies about crazy-hot, protective men that are so obsessed with them that they resort to light (or heavy) stalking just to make sure the object of their desire is safe, and that's OK. So what? It's a fantasy and there's nothing wrong with fantasies. In other words, the pearl clutchers and the morality police who might be tempted to try and explain "healthy" relationships to me can fuck right off. This list is fun. Let's all lighten up, m'kay?
