I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Just because something is a cliche you’ve seen a million times doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad thing. That’s certainly the case of the old “there’s only one bed and these two people who are hopelessly attracted to each other now have to share it and pretend they aren’t hopelessly attracted to each other” trope. It’s something that makes me happy every time it comes up in a book or movie. With that in mind, here are a few of our all-time favorites.
Note: A few of these are admittedly loose adaptations of the “there’s only one bed” trope. Sometimes there were more beds, but for whatever reason, the characters ended up sharing a bed or sleeping space without having sex or being in a relationship. I’m including those because it’s my list, I liked them, and no one is the boss of me.
