Who to read if you support diversity (and detest racism) in romance

Who to read if you support diversity (and detest racism) in romance
If you’ve been on Twitter at all since Christmas, you’re probably aware of the HUGE kerfuffle that’s going on with Romance Writers of America (RWA). Long-story-short, they’ve been called out on long-standing racism, and the organization isn’t doing much of anything to help themselves. But that’s not what I wanted to talk about today. There are PLENTY of places you can read all about what’s going on with the RWA. I want to talk about what we can DO to help make things a little better.
The fact of the matter is, the best way you can support diversity in romance and let the RWA know you won’t tolerate racism, is to support the authors who have been speaking out against the unfair and unjust treatment marginalized authors have received over the years. And how do you support authors? Well, you buy their books, of course! So if you, like us, support diversity in romance and refuse to tolerate racism in Romancelandia, here are some of the strong, proud, vocal, and all-kinds-of-awesome authors who have been fighting the good fight on social media. Enjoy!

And please note, this is but a few of the authors who have been speaking out against racism in Romancelandia and advocating for more diversity. There are PLENTY more. We suggest you also check out #IStandWithCourtney for more great authors to add to your TBR pile.

Authors who've been active and eloquent about speaking out include Melissa Blue, C. Chilove, Laurel Cremant, Seressia Glass, Piper Huguley, Cole McCade, Racheline Maltese, Farrah Rochon, Suleikha Snyder, Rebekah Weatherspoon, and lots more, but I'll stop here, because you can check out the resources from Romance Sparks Joy and I Love Diverse Romance
